Job Descriptions Throughout the Career Management Process

In last week’s article we addressed how job descriptions play an integral role in hiring talent in addition to how they provide the foundation for transparent and objective interview processes. However, what many organizations don’t realize is that job descriptions hold significant value beyond hiring and selection. As a review, job descriptions detail the duties, responsibilities, qualifications, and structure of a job. Ideally, these descriptions are objective and driven by an understanding of the job’s required competencies and skills.
